Today sweet girl you are 4. I can hardly believe how fast these last few years have gone. You are caring, loving and imaginative. You love to play dress up, and all things girly. You are smart and will start school in the fall. wow! really? Your Momma is not ready! But I know you are and you are gonna love school. We want you to know that we love you so much and pray you grow up first with a love for God and that you are His child first, and then to know we chose you and you are ours. God picked you for us, and Daddy, Mommy, and Ella Kate for you and we love you so very much.

Here is part of our story that only God knew. We did not know it then, but I saw you the day you were born. I was visiting your little friend Allison at the baby nursery, in the hospital while her mommy was resting after Allison's birth, and I looked at each baby in there. I remember wanting to take one of them home with me to love forever, because Mommy and Daddy wanted a child. I remember saying a short prayer for all the babies in the nursery born that day and that they would live happy and healthy lives. Little did I know I was praying for you, but I was and now even though I may have missed the first 20 months of your life, I know God has answered my prayer for you on that day as well as the prayer for Daddy and Me. That we would all be able to be happy and healthy and grow together. God knows the plan he made for us and he is faithful.
