Happy New Year 2008

As I think back over the last year of our journey, I must pause and write something down for posterity. When we decided we wanted to adopt we knew it would be a long ...long...process. We also knew the potential for lots of kiddos to come and go. We have had our 2 member sibling group for a year now with no signs of reunification or of the cabinet recommending changing the goal...This is also the 6 month of our Ella Kate's foster stint. We have grown to love these children with all our hearts and beings. This is the point where we could just state that this is getting too hard to keep going OR we can dig in our heals and hang on for the long run......We really want to grow our family but we have a desire to serve God more.. On these days when I feel like I want this service to be over.......I just stop and know that all I have to do is look at the girls...To look and see how much Ella Kate has grown both in ability and every other way. She will be 3 in one month and I am daily amazed at how much she has accomplished in six short months. I know that with God on her side the sky is the limit. And that with God, we can get through all He calls us to do.
